Who We Are & BECOMING

From Scratch

Pulp Fictitious is a creative movement at its core, founded by Anushka Anoop, who believes art holds the power to breathe new life. Her medium is paper mache. And this is where everything converges to disrupt the familiar. Where discarded paper is given new form and a place to belong.

As we give paper a new home, we hope to become one too—for artists, designers, curators, and storytellers drawn to slow process and bold ideas.

Born out of a will to repurpose discarded paper, Pulp Fictitious began as a way to rescue newspapers, packaging waste, Blinkit-Zepto bags, and egg cartons—items that lose their purpose after their primary use. We give them a more inspired, contemporary form—something with a story, a memory, a purpose beyond the bin.

with every tear of paper and every bulb of pulp we sculpt, we blend the nostalgia of papier mâché—the comfort of creating by hand and the imperfect charm of childhood crafts, into our sculptural forms.

we produce in limited runs

never to be repeated again.

Once a collection finds a home, it becomes Fictitious—a concept that you now own. And just like that, we’re off chasing another one of our endless ideas.

Your Pulp Fictitious piece? One of a kind. Yours. Made to stand out.

Crafted to spark conversation

with A Touch of Whimsy

In a world of mass production, finding art that truly resonates can feel impossible. That’s also why we do what we do, we are who we are. Every piece we make is crafted to do more than just sit pretty—it should feel right, hold space, tell a story, and make you feel something rare. As rare as you are.

Top Left Chamber

our material philosophy

We begin with what already exists—paper discards.

A part of our glue is made with vegetable flour and anti-fungal botanicals. The mix is personal. Each ingredient is handpicked from the founder’s home, tied to memories carried from childhood.

What’s left behind is repurposed. Strained water is reused in plants. Nothing is wasted if it can be transformed. Each piece is wrapped with care in plastic-free, planet-loving packaging.

Regeneration is the top left chamber of our heart. It’s where discards find their second life.

And with every batch, our pulp grows a little greener.

Top Right Chamber

our process

Each piece begins with our hands. Built in small batches. Shaped slowly, with care. Some are made to order. Others emerge through experimentation.

You’ll see it in the surface. The texture. The tiny shifts in form that reveal a human rhythm. Raw edges. Quiet seams. Nothing too polished. Nothing too perfect.

Imperfection is not a flaw here. It’s a trace of presence, a record of time and touch.

Craftsmanship is the top right chamber of our heart. It’s where hands give shape to thought, and material becomes meaning.

Bottom Left Chamber

our essence

Paper mache is a medium with memory.

It carries the stories we want to tell, and the ones you’ll want to touch and hold.

What we work with carries a past. The texture of old newspapers, the soft fade of packaging prints beneath paint, the subtle imperfections that hint at a life lived before.

We give it form. Finding balance between the familiar and the unexpected, the old and the new, culture and instinct.

Storytelling is the bottom left chamber of our heart. It is where every texture holds a tale, and form begins to feel.

Bottom Right Chamber

our creative force

We see Pulp Fictitious becoming a home for artists, designers, curators, and storytellers. A place where your craft meets the world through paper mache.

From design weeks to editorial shoots and creative collaborations, this is only the beginning.

For two years, we created installations at Echoes of Earth—bringing larger-than-life art from paper waste into public spaces and spotlighting endangered flora and fauna.

We want to go further, reach wider, and take you with us.

The bottom right chamber of our heart is where creation becomes collective, and community shapes what comes next.
